Will-power, Courage and Determination

In this life, we all desire to be relevant and successful at something. And in our pursuit for success, there are going to be many obstacles. That’s where these three powerful qualities come in;- will-power, determination and courage.

The journey up to the top is never an easy one. It starts with a desire and courage to make the first step, then determination and persistence to push you through the obstacles all the way to the top.

Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination

Courage

If you lack the courage to start a task, you can as well count it finished.

The good news is the first steps are usually the most difficult, it gets better as you go along. Once you gather the strength to start, you are half-way there.

And each time you hit a road block, keep going, don’t quit.

It’s in that moment when you feel like quitting when you should remind yourself why you started in the first place. The magnitude of your desire to succeed is what will give you the determination to persist until what you desire comes to pass.

All our dreams can come true -if we have the courage to pursue them.

~ Walt Disney

Courage is what gives you the strength to face a lion bear handed -if that’s what it takes to achieve your dream(s).

Ambrose RedMon nailed it, he said, ” Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.”

When your dreams are more important to you than your fear of failure, you will get the courage to pursue them and will stop at nothing to get them.

Fear of failure puts you in a state of self-doubt and inadequacy.

At this point i have a confession to make.

“I’ve never thought myself such a great writer but once I shake off that feeling, hold the pen in my hand and begin scribbling, am often amazed by the results.”

All it usually takes is the courage to begin.

determination and courage

Determination

When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal, you don’t change your decision to get there.

Zig Zaglar

Decision is the opposite of procrastination. In your pursuit for success, one of the things you must learn is how to beat procrastination. Until you learn this, you might really never get that far ahead in life.

Once you set your goals straight for yourself, courage will get you started. You’ll need desire and will power to keep you going. The bigger your desire, the bigger are the results you’ll accomplish.

Then faith comes into the picture. You’ve got to believe in yourself, that you can do it, that you can achieve whatever you set out to accomplish. It doesn’t matter if no one else believes in your dream but you. There’s a reason it was given to you, -not them. Your faith in yourself is more than enough to get you the success you desire.

Visualization and meditation will come in handy in growing your faith.

Remember these words always,

If you can dream it, you can have it.

Once your mind is prepared for success, then get down to work. Remember you can’t think your dreams into existence, you’ve really gat to put in the work.

Make a plan, get the knowledge and help you require to make your dreams a reality and get moving.

Now right here is where persistence comes into the picture. Your plan is going to meet failure at many points. But remember you don’t fail unless you quit. For as long as you hold on, hung in there and keep going, you will win.

Brian Tracy said,” Never consider the possibility of a failure, as long as you persist, you will be successful.

Your determination to be successful is what will keep you going. Once your original plan hits a roadblock, you make a new plan and follow through with that. Once that one also hits a roadblock, you make a new one once again. You keep making new plans until one eventually works.

No one says it’s going to be easy. In fact it going to be real tough! But the big question is,” How bad do you want whatever it is, that you want?”

If you want it bad enough, you will persist until you get it.

Persistence doesn’t come easy however. It comes slowly, you build it day by day by pushing a little further and then pushing further after that.

Determination to succeed is the fuel of persistence.

Without persistence you will be defeated even before you start. With persistence, you will win.

Napoleon Hill- Think and grow rich

Some people are more persistent than others because they learnt early on in life that nothing noteworthy really comes easy. If your not among those, you’re going have to build your own persistence day by day. Every time you meet defeat, remember to pick yourself up and keep pushing.

Once you make persistence into a habit, you will realize one truth -failure is only temporary. And you’ll find that you seem to always get whatever you are pursuing.

One important fact you’ll learn along the way is,

Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage.

Napoleon Hill

Until the day your efforts pay off, we wish you the best of luck, keep going and keep determined and courageous. You’ll be glad you did some day; -we pray it’s soon.
